Promenade Towers

AVOID AT ALL COSTS From: promenaderesident Date posted: 5/13/2005 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005 1 response   The simplest way to indicate why Promenade Towers is one of the worst places to live is a list, as follows: -Parking Garage- . smells like urine . physically dirty (which is why the "leasing agents" -- how can they get a title like that without a college degree'' -- never show it to you) . requires "valet" . definitely not secure...gates frequently are being "repaired" and when they don't work, they remain open! for example, three cars were burglarized and another STOLEN from the lot! -Gym and "Activities Room"- . both smell mouldy . the "activities room" is nothing more than a dimly-lit room with ancient couches that house cockroachs (!) -Water "Service"- . under the guise of repairs, they will stop your water service for a day every two weeks or so...if you're repairing it, you shouldn't have to *keep* repairing it! . hot water is not always readily available . on a related note, many of the dishwashers (including my own) are marked as recalled devices. the apartment notified us but NEVER replaced them! -Elevators- . for 50% of the time OR MORE, at least one elevator out of the three are being repaired, causing extremely long wait times. I wonder if they're being repaired by the same people who "repair" the water. . elevator had a 6-month-expired permit...maybe that's why these elevators never work. -Apartment Quality- . one word: crappy . to be fair, they repair things pretty quickly once it's reported, but it's a little frightening to have light sockets shorting out and locks not locking -Staff- . especially the parking manager, these are miserable power-tripping paupers who lack a college degree
