Ok, so Promenade Towers is not perfect. For the price, though, it's pretty good. The apartment does not smell like vomit and it's not loud. On the contrary, it's a pleasant and even tranquil place to study. There are tons of students here, mostly from USC, but they're not the party type... everyone walks around with an accounting textbook or LSAT guide. You get a decent amount of space. The rooms have a nice modern design to them.
There's a pool and jacuzzi with a waterfall. Some of the appliances are kind of old (garbage disposal, plaster on walls) but the maintenance will fix them. Once in a while the laundry machine on my floor will be full or broken, but I just go to a different floor. Parking and security guards are friendly. The biggest problem is the management office. They take forever to answer questions about leases and paperwork. You have to do a lot of follow-up with them.
On the whole, though, I've lived here for a year and can't level any big complaints.
