Great home for 4 years - has some probs, but managable

I have lived in Promenade Towers for almost 4 years, and will be sad to leave. For the price, the size of my one bedroom apartment is awesome. I would definitely say it has been a great home for me, but it does have some problems. I find them to be managable though.

PROS:

The closet space in the living/dining area is huge and great for many storage needs. The solarium is a unique feature that makes the apartment birght and airy. There is very good counterspace and storage in the bathroom & a huge linen closet in the hall that's another real asset. the best thing is the PEACE AND QUIET I have always experienced here. Having an apartment that faces inward to the courtyard is a real advantage. The security desk (although not the most efficienctly staffed) signs for all packages and then a slip is left at your door. You can pick up your package 24 hours a day. The pool is huge and beautiful. The whole courtyard is a pleasure to be in, everywhere and I love it more and more every day.

CONS:

The parking is tandem and you must always leave your key with the attendant, who may somethings then move your car to a different spot and it won't be where you left it at all. It's managable, but I have had some times where it tooks me and the parking attendants 20 mintues plus to find my own car. The management turns off the water A LOT - average of a few times a month - with less than 24 hours notice, but it's usually during weekday work hours. The maintenance crew - although fast to come make repairs - are very unskilled and things will often take 3 or more times to get fixed correctly. However, after many failed attempts to fix appliances, they will simply replace it with a new one, so it's not bad in the long run. Guest parking is only available on weekends (otherwise they charge by the hour).

OVERALL:
The price is outstanding & reasonable. The amenities aren't super-luxury but are really practical and above average, and overall the place is definitely well maintained. I was really able to make a home in my place, which says a lot.
