Ok, I finally moved in 2 months ago here. Building is nice and so far, so is the leasing office.

Good News: nice looking building, spacious apartment, near everything (LACMA, The Grove, Ralphs Supermarket, Beverly Hills, 99cent store :) with buses should your car break-down.

Bad News: F-ing alarm goes off, without apparent provocation or warning. The ear-piercing sound is not only annoying, it goes on and on and on at ANY time (day or night).

I'm not sure what the problem is with the fire alarm. It goes off without any warning. The first night I moved in it went of at 10:00 PM for 10 minutes straight! THe sound is unbelievable. It is high pitched and crazy!!! (Lucky for me, my neighbor had a party that Saturday night and just cranked up the volume - good music though!)

I went outside because surely I thought the fire department would come. They didn't.

So, you gotta ask yourself - in the event of a REAL emergency, because apparently these stupid things go off all the time, will their be a response from Fire Dept'''

I have a child and this is a serious concern living in one of the top floors.

Other than that, the place so far is great.

P.S. A neighbor gave me the following tip to "muffle" the sound inside the apartment. The secret is cotton tape. It worked! (And yes, the alarm did go off yet again so I had time to test it.)

P.S.S. There are no "washer/dryer" connections in the apartment. I just couldn't "untick" this. And, you do pay PET RENT, PET DEPOSIT, WATER/TRASH/SEWER so your rental costs go considerably up.
