Seriously, renters look elsewhere!

I worked in eviction defense for about a year and a half and dealt with some pretty nasty slum lords, but I can honestly tell you that the managment in this building is run by some of the shadiest characters I have ever come across. I could go on for pages about how horribly you will get treated, and how blatantly dishonest these people are, but you probably would not believe me if I told you. Please, look elsewhere. This building is overpriced and by the time you are finished dealing with Rita in the managment office, you will wish you had never heard of the renaissance tower. There are tons of great places downtown, I suggest in the strongest possible terms that you check them out(The Met, The Met Lofts, Sky Lofts, Pegasus, Evo (on craigslist), Milano, etc...).
Honestly, please take this advice, I really do not want any more people to have to deal with what I have been through. This building appears great, but it is a total nightmare.

I strongly agree with you. I lived there for one year. I move out two months ago, now I live in the MET. It is five times better than Reneaissance Tower

Glad you got out of there! I just can't believe how blatantly dishonest they are at the Renaissance tower. I have never joined a site like this before, but I feel like everyone out there should know just how bad they are. Rita actually insisted that I did not turn a check in, and then after I turned in the replacement check, she cashed the replacement and then attempted to cash the original check! When the original check would not go thru (because I stopped payment) she charged me a $35 returned check fee! And when I pointed this out to her, she argued with me! You have got to be kidding me...

Yes, I agreed. I dealt with Rita when I was renewing my lease and when I had problems with neighbors (loud loud loud nasty music even after midnightl... he said he was a "musician", and that seemed to make him think it's his rights to blasting his stereo ...). Okay, first, Rita would try to make you pay as much as what she could squeeze out of you. she tried to raise my rent by more than 15%, and she gave me different "quotes" of new rent on different occasions. For the insanely loud neighbor..., she, as a manager, did not do a thing. I have NEVER dealt with such a shady, unpleasant, and unhelpful apartment manager ever in 11 years of renting experience in differnet cities (yes, that is sad... I am still renting...). BTW, I heard she was now... Let's see how the next one is...

Wow Rita caused everyone problems. She was crazy. I'm glad she's gone, but unfortunately the new management is just as crappy. They are younger, and sit around on their A@#es in the office, and are only good for fake smiles and glazed over looks. They have absolutely no idea what's going on. I just went downstairs and they were all sitting around in the office chatting while some maintenance guy was sitting in at the front desk looking for someone to help him for 10 minutes. P.S. It's 5 o clock and there is still no mail. God I hate this place.
