I used to live at that place. There are only a small handful of parking spaces onsite, and they have a lot way down the block, but you have to walk past homeless people and rat infestations to get to your car. There is no lighting on the street there, and there are no cameras, so no one is watching you come home down a dark street to get back to the building.

Not true. Ask the guard and he will show you the cameras that are looking at the parking lot and all around the building. There is plenty of street lighting and they are offering spaces in the building. Plus the lot is only half a block down. Try walking 2-3 blocks for parking like in the Financial Dist.

There are cameras watching the parking lot half a block down. I don't mind the walk, but it is a pain if you have a lot of stuff to carry. Luckily, all you have to do is call the concierge and they will open the gate for the loading dock. Yeah, parking is not the greatest, underground parking for all of the tenants would be optimal, but there aren't enough spaces to accommodate every tenant. If you get one of the penthouses or larger lofts, then I think you automatically get a space in the underground parking. You might want to ask when you call. FYI, if you have guests, they can park right across the street, it's usually around $4-$5 unless there's a Laker game or some event at the Staples Center. Yeah, it isn't free parking, but hey this is Downtown LA. We all know that parking is a racket here. Go to Manhattan and try to park. Supply and demand at work. -Joey
