I don't know who is worse, the current property management, the landlady (Bel-Air - Chinese millionnaire), or both!

New tenants are being charged "market rate" rents of $1,000 and up for large, very nice one bedrooms and one bedroom den units. However, when they move in, most find "problems" with the unit. It takes forever to fix anything. The landlady does not want to spend any money in this building. Management company does not return tenant calls. But if you don't pay your rent on time they post 3 Day Notices to Quit on your door with a 10% late fee added.

Most new tenants move out after the 1 year lease expires.

The landlord owns 5 luxury apt. buildings in Los Angeles with a total of over 500 units!
Yet the landlord continues to try to nicle and dime the tenants out of every dollar she can get -- illegally or otherwise! The landlord twice tried to have the rents raised illegally, but the Rent Stabilization Boad stopped that ASAP.

My advise, look elsewhere! You won't be happy here.
