The apartment is absolutely beautiful. Overlooks downtown, probably one of the best views available. However, when the elevators are almost always non-functional, parking is a problem, and the mailboxes were broken which required tenants to go to the post office to get their mail, the looks fade and it was time to move. While it did apear that many problems are going to be fixed in the future. It was not worth the rent to have a non-functional building in the "mean-time." Why should I pay full rent when the problems with the building were so extensive. The final straw for me was when the mail boxes were broken and I had to go to the post office to get my mail. Anyone who has been to the post office in LA should know that is not simply a 2 minute stop. It took me 40 minutes to get my mail. I was not going to pay rent at an apartment and not be able to recieve mail. While to my knowledge delivery has been resumed, I was not willing to take the chance that it could happen again. Also from the looks of a lot of tenants, many have just been released from prison. They have prison tatoos and bad attitudes. This leads me to believe that most of the crime in the community is commited by residents. I would NEVER allow my daughter to reside in this complex. As the residents and even the SECURITY guards seem like potential threats. Overall, If the complex is very close to where you work or school, and a view is important, and you dont carry much stuff and are in great shape, so you can use the stairs, and drive a cheap old car that is not a concern if it is stolen, then the complex is ok. As the inside of my apartment was fine. Water always hot and worked, no problems with anything else, except VERY poor insulation and noise.
