TALMADGE OWNERS ALSO OWN THE RAVENSWOOD

The Ravenswood is also a beautiful building, with art deco facade, crown moldings and a grand chandelier as well as an Historic Landmark Plaque (famous former tenants, Mae West most notably). This building was famous for its friendly artistic tenants, people used to hang our chatting in the lobby and the lounges, put on plays in the garden, network, enjoy a beautifully decorated annual Christmas tree.
But since Talmadge took it over, there is very poor security, the lights in the halls burn out constantly and are not replaced for weeks, there are many power failures (we ve currently been without power in most of the building for more than 24hours), we have frequent water shutdowns, extremely low water pressure, fire doors malfunction and slam loudly for days at a time, garbage has to be taken by tenants to the dumpsters accessible only by stairs, the manager gossips and slanders, complaints are routinely ignored, broken fixtures are replaced with cheap, inferior products that fall apart in a few months and tenants are treated rudely and unprofessionally by the manager and by the aforementioned Camellia, who is every bit as rude and unprofessional as others have said.
All this, in a building that charges exorbitant rents.

About the power failures, I???m sure that you didn't call DWP that night other wise you would know that there was no power between Beverly Blvd. and pass Melrose to any buildings and stores. And it lasted from 9 pm to 8 am (not 24 hours as you said). And how is that the Ravenswood or Talmadges fault? I'm not really sure. I was in the hallways with many of my neighbors and with the manager trying to find the problem but the problem was DWP. What else the management can do than just call them?

We agree with the review of the Ravenswood. Not only is the chandelier no longer lit, but management has allowed the beautiful elevator doors to become tarnished and filthy and lobby plants have been neglected and allowed to die. We miss the Christmas tree too. It???s not the same pleasant place it used to be just a year ago. Many people have moved out recently and we plan to do the same, since we don???t enjoy living here anymore.
