This has been the worst living experience ever.

From the outside it seems like a great deal, okay so you're paying at lot of money ($1,300.00) for only 350 square feet but all utilities are included, there's a pool, a gym, parking, etc... (so you think)

The truth is the parking is not assigned and not regulated, there is a restaurant on the premisses and not only does the staff park in the building but random people (guests) are also let in, basically if you're a resident and you come home past 10:00 pm on any given night you will have to park on the street or in a nearby lot, if you're a female good luck walking back to your apartment at 1 am alone (not a fun experience in this neighborhood), I am a tenant and I've had my window broken into once when I parked on the street of the apartment (very close to the entrance).

The pool is a plus in the summer, especially because your air conditioning unit WILL NOT WORK! The units are old, outdated and tired - in hot summer days your apartment will feel like an oven at 7 am. Yes the management is more than willing to send someone yo your place to "fix" it, but nothing is ever fixed or works properly. If you're not looking to live in a sauna, your best bet is to stay away... It's extremely uncomfortable during the summer.

Don't expect to cook EVER, even if you could deal with the miniscule kitchen area which consists of 2 burners and a mini sink with a tiny little bit of counter space. Your little fridge that comes with the apartment will either freeze everything or keep it all very warm - thus most of everything you'll buy will get ruined if it's not consumed within a day or two.

The noise level is truly unreasonable, from what I understand the person who owns the building is the same who owns the restaurant bellow and they have no respect for the tenants, they open the pool on weekends to anyone willing to pay a lot of money for a drink. A DJ is set-up which can be great fun for awhile, unfortunately the party does not stop until late hours or early hours of the morning I should say (I'm talking 1 am) regardless if it's a weekday or weekend. If you need to sleep or get up early for a class or work, this is not the place for you. Even when the building isn't responsible for throwing a rave in the little pool area there will be tenants by the pool loud and drunk past a decent hour on a regular basis. I live on the 5th floor and when the DJ plays, my apartment literally shakes - even if my TV is set to its loudest volume I can still hear the ridiculously loud music inside as if I were in a club. By the way I just got home on a Sunday 4 pm and had to park on the street, there are about 200 people down by the pool area packed in like sardines and no parking.... Hmmm I wonder why all the spots are taken on a Sunday afternoon (very frustrating).

On top of the noise level incurred by the owner of the building, the insulation is horrible - I can hear my neighbors sneeze and sometimes from my apartment I can hear a neighbor's dog barking from 4 doors down, by the way... YES the flat will allow pets of ANY SIZE here because they are not about to exclude an opportunity to make money, regardless of the poor insulation and amount of noise you can hear in your apartment. The windows are old and falling apart, for the most part they don't shut all the way and breeze is coming in all day, you will have to sweep everyday if you don't want to live in an ubber dusty and nasty environment. The amount of dust that comes in here is pretty unbelievable - I'm grossed out every time I see it (every day).

While there is a set of washer and dryers in every floor, they are the old kind that leaves a lot of lint on your clothe - that's right, the lint catcher is not in any way separated from the machine, so as your clothe rotate in the dryer it keeps hitting the lint over and over, so you will be going to a laundry mat once you get tired of wearing linty clothe.

I am counting the days until my lease ends, I love a party and cool neighbors but this place is a little much and the owners like I said are all about making a buck regardless how making that buck will negatively impact the tenants.

Did I mention I've also met two people who have been stuck in the elevators in the last couple of months' Apparently this happens a lot and some people only take the stairs to be on the safe side, either way to be safe or not at least one elevator is broken every week and you will have to take the stairs anyway.

Since moving here I've had problems with the bathroom pluming (at least three times), a small flood in the unit, the fridge has broken completely twice, the air conditioning never works, the windows don't shut all the way and the electricity has been out at least four times, and at least twice a month for the past 6 months I've had to take a cold shower (which was torture around the Holidays when it was cold) because there are CONSTANT issues with hot water, it seems the heater needs to be replaced or fixed but despite the many complaints from the tenants it will never be handled because it costs money. So until my lease ends I will continue to HAVE to park on the street, take cold showers, walk up 5 flights of stairs, and sweat like a pig in my apartment while looking at my piece of crap fridge that doesn't even cool water while the apartment shakes due to the music in the pool that I wont be able to use because there are 200 starngers packed there.

Think very hard before you move here, it's a good place to visit for a good time but not to live at.

I feel like the management at the flat completely mislead me into thinking this was a great place to live, instead it is loud, obnoxious, crappy, dirty and unsafe. I hate to complain this much but this has truly been a pretty bad experience. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

Hey, I completely feel for you. I used to live there and I was definitely glad I signed only a 6 month lease. I personally think even though you are under contract, you can probably get out of your lease since all of these things keep occurring. Everything you said has been still happening since 1 year ago. They never really fix the elevators, nor the noise, nor the parking lot. The securities are really lame. Get out of there while you can!!!!

Thanks for the detailed review. This information is very helpful! What a disaster you've been through. On the bright side your post was enjoyable to read despite all your misfortunes. I laughed out loud. Perhaps you can give this nightmare a success blog life?
