I have read EACH and every review on here and as a part-time resident, I couldn't agree w/ what any of you have said any MORE than I already do!
To be blatantly honest, my major focal point right now is on the "Blue Velvet"; this restaurant, while pricey, could have honestly afforded to offset the property expenses.
W/ the price of food, marketing, Valet, DJ'ing, etc.
- that building should have NEVER undergone foreclosure, or anything in regards to a lack of finance!
I also beared witness to the Business Center being used for PERSONAL usage.
Photoshop and Myspace should NOT be used all day &/or abused by residents OR non-residents.
If your azz can't afford a laptop, then take your behind to library - where it's free! That's how viruses are created and dispersed!
Moving forward, the elevators.....Lord, I tell you.
Amazingly, Management found a creative way to keep one elevator operational at ALL times.
For $1400 a month (6th floor) I feel like a resident to Skid Row,...better yet, a 1/2 way house! I remember, once my friends all got stuck between the 3rd and 4th floors while in the elevator....add the dysfunctional fire alarm to that, and you've got a recipe for hell!
Had I not wasted the amount of money that I did there for 2 years - I would seriously be in a Range Rover or residing in Brentwood or some-dayum where!
The owners seriously should be retired somewhere in the Hamptons.
Think about it: $12-1400/rent x 6 floors of NOTHING but "bachelors" <--studios.
That is virtual rape! Yes, Management was cool, but that doesn't change the fact that once I made it home from work, I had to begin a scavengar hunt for parking in spaces that are supposed to be "assigned".
You honestly had to make it home before 5p, or park next door at the Housing Department!!! Question: How do you build a facility that does not possess adaquate parking for ALL of its residents'''
The music from Blue Velvet is an entirely different story!!! Frankly, if you weren't disturbed by it, then you had your choice of the fire alarm, a bar fight, or...an inconsiderate pool conversation to wake you up on any given day.
Add that, to the lack of central air conditioning and the dayum dogs - and what do you get'''
Some over-priced crap!
Case in point, I'm thrilled that this property has new owners.
Perhaps the old one's will be able to resolve their Coke issues.
Live here again....not even if Jesus Christ was my landlord---
* Note to reader(s): I located my new place via Craigslist.
I'm now paying less than $900, in Hollywood and ALL of my utilities are included! Do your homework, guiz'!
