After reading all of the other reviews...I felt compelled to write something on a much brighter note. This community has a lot to offer, but because it receives a tax credit for providing affordable housing, 20% of it's residents are low income tenants(they were probably homeless). Had I moved here if I was told that initially, probably not. It has a pretty nice fitness center with new state of the art equipment which I really don't take advantage of. There's a really nice resident lounge that's pretty much occupied by the low income residents that lounge and lay on the couchs and watch the Big Screen T.V as if they owned the place. Once I passed by and saw a little kid running on the pool tableand her care taker was encouraging it. It's such a nice place, well decorated lobbies with really nice furnishing in modern and contemporary designs with a little asian ans zen influence. But the mere fact the low income redidents pay half of what I pay...and get the same and sometimes better units ticks me off. I pay nearly $1600 (including one additional parking spot)for less than 700 square feet. I haven't encountered the problems that the other reviews speak of. The only odors I've experienced is from the service elevator when the pipes leaked in the basement below it. I think that it probbly has something to do with my bathroom sink giving off an odor. The parking lot is secure and behind the building...but sometimes I find myself running to catch someone leaving out the lot from the back gates so that I won't have to walk all the way around to enter. For the most part some of the residents are nice and friendly. As a matter of fact. One of the residents just opened Weneez and the Red dot Gallery and Bistro. I must say, things have gotten better around here. I don't see as many vagrants hanging out front since the trimmed the trees and as far as exitiong the garage, i don't see the neighborhood losers on Main St behind the parking structure pushing drugs and being low lifes. I know for a fact the the LAPD had initiated a special task for the aid in cleaning up the streets in dtla. And for all the damn comments I've been reading about the management, you guys should relly get a life. What you percieve as a FAKE voice from the manager is sincere and that's just the way she talks. You should talk to her and get to know her...she's pretty nice.
