Managers and rental agents can write on these places as much as people can. I still live in the neighborhood, but I hated living there with a passion.

The studios are as small as NYC standards. Out here, no one needs a studio that small and for that price.

If you notice, the great reviews of the place never go into details, the bad reviews do. That should tell you something. One side of the building faces Wilcox ( a semi-busy street). The other side faces a huge parking lot. That alone makes for a very hot building. I moved out before May because I knew my place would be super super hot, and no one needs that.

But that parking lot' On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights' That is where all the Hollywood club kids park their cars to party. Like clockwork, every weekend, 2 a.m., it is louder than anything you can possible imagine. There are no buildings between the parking lot and the Mark. So all the noise hits that building first.

Not to mention the fact that THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR WATER AND SEWER! NO ONE DOES THIS!!!

It's dirty. Overpriced. Loud. Lame.

I've been out of there now for 2 years. I've watched the paint job. I've talked to people who have seen the renovations. Whatever.

I live up on Grace Ave. now. It's quiet. I have a view of the hills from my balcony. My apartment is twice the size, I have parking off the street, and I pay less.

I have been in side the Victor. I think the Victor is a little more expensive. But if you need to live on that street. Go there. Better quality. The pool is nicer. The gym is nicer.

OH YEAH! The gym at the Mark is AWFUL.

They want $1.245 for a 350 sq. ft. I pay $975 for 550 sq. ft., and I am within a 30 second walk of that place.

Also' I moved in from out of town. I thought this would be a good place to go. Trust me when i tell you that people that live in L.A. don't move here. They move away from here. So all you newbies' This is a great area. Keep looking. But don't look there.

Hey I'm also moving out here out of town In January and have been in communication with the managers of this place. I was thinking it was a good apartment as well, until a friend told me to come on here and check the ratings. I'm glad I did! Do you mind telling me the name of the apartment complex you live in now? Or you can email me if you don't want to post it on the website. Allenwatkins@gmail.com

Sorry to be a pester, but could you also give me the name of where you're currently at? lol You could potentially have a lot of friendly neighbors if everyone who posts here moves where you are! elliottcmorgan@gmail.com

I moved out of the Mark hollywood over a year ago. It was the BEST move I ever made. Everything this poster said is true. They tried to raise my rent to 1500 for a small one bedroom and you do have to pay for trash, water, gas, elec, and sewer. I moved around the corner and pay cheaper rent and I only pay for my elec. everything else is free.
