meth lab, hypocrites, maintenance

Oh, boy. Ok, here's the deal. We lived above what we later discovered to be a meth lab(no kidding), but on the bright side, our baby doesn't have any apparent lasting brain damage. The residents by the pool on the first floor deal drugs through their windows, but that's ok, too, because the pool is so flippin cold, you don't want to swim in it anyway. We had a leak in our ceiling, but that was fixed with a thin coat of paint to hide the water stain and in a timely manner I might add(two years later). Are you kidding me' Like many apartments, the walls are thin, so we enjoyed many late, late night concerts by our musician neighbors who all attend the nearby music school. The workout facility is deep in the bowels of the lowest garage level and contains an astonishing 3 pieces of equipment, but what is really the disconcerting part is that it is dark, scary and there is no way out should the unforeseeable happen. But this is Hollywood, so you should be ok. Supposedly, no one is allowed on the roof, but the Fourth of July is a great occasion for management to enjoy the view from there, and even better is that the fireworks mask the perpetual sounds of gunfire in the area, and of the nearby, very popular and loud club behind the building, and of the constant police and news helicopters circumnavigating the airspace above your apartment, but on the bright side, the light from their spotlights helps you get that desireable all-over tan. Management is courteous and welcoming unless you are actually renting one of their apartments. And best of all, the area is great...if you are a homeless, drug running, graffiti artist, who doesn't need to park anywhere, went to Hollywood High School(one of LA public's finest), and love to be in fear of your personal safety, and all for the low, low price of $1300 for a one bedroom! In a nutshell, I highly recommend it.
