Horrible place to live From: Pissedoffat2620 Date posted: 9/25/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I've moved at the end of every school year and every summer. So I've lived in quite a few places. This is by far the worst place I've ever lived in. Aside from the fact that the place is not only small but dirty and falling apart, the management is horrible. The manager is a jackass and so is the owner. The rent may seem cheap but it's because it's a piece of crap apartment and they need the price to be competitive to make up for being the worst place to live near SC. You save a little bit of money off of rent every month but they're going to charge you up the ass at the end of the year. Not only did my entire security deposit get taken, they sent me a bill for an extra 200 dollars. They coaxed us to move out early so they could use our money to renovate the apartment because the rest of Ellendale is renovating right now. The carpet looks like it's 20 years old, never cleaned and with stains everywhere. There was a hole in the floor when I moved in. They took all of our money ($1500 not including the 200 they're asking for) and the manager lies and complains constantly. If you really tick him off (which isn't hard) he will not hesitate to yell at you. Our apartment was right where the doorway was so we could hear every couple ending their date or everyone coming outside to talk on the phone. The balcony wasn't closed. Anyone could've had access to it. When we expressed concern about that, the manager yelled at us and said "well you shouldn't have picked this place". They charged us for things they said they wouldn't charge for and they more than what they told us would be charged. I'm planning on taking some sort of legal action against them. Do yourself a favor and don't live here.
