I lived here for 18 months and all of the glowing reviews are written by building management. The walls are paper thin. Have a complaint about noise' Chanelle Martina, the building manager, will get a nasty attitude with you, the person complaining. She sees you as the nuisance and not the noise maker. Also, the smell of mariajuana is not uncommon, I had two neighbors who used the drug and whenever their front doors were open, the scent would waft into the hallway. Disconcerting to say the least.
At night, there was a security guard in the lobby, which was the one positive thing about the apartment complex.

I am moving to LA from Atlanta and I am considering this property. I don't think the noise would bother me so much as safety. Is this area safe? What about parking and car break ins? Thank you so much for the post, these are really helpful for people like me who have no idea about the city! Thanks!

To atl2la, this apartment complex is very good considering the proximity to Downtown L.A.. Downtown after 6:00 is quiet (though the city is trying to change it's image and become more of a nightly hangout, but it's not right now) so most if not all those who work around here jump on the freeways to get home. There were 2 instances of break-ins that I am aware of (I've been here for over 3 years). The security patrols have been beefed up and such. You won't do much better in this area in terms of price and it really is a safe complex.

On weekends, it is non-stop mariachi music. It is one of the big reasons I moved along with a very noisy ghetto upstairs neighbor and a crazy neighbor below who had a boyfriend not even on the lease who played loud music during the day. I wrote the original review. With the upstairs neighbor, there were already two complaints on file about her regarding noise, but Chanel the manager would not doing anything about it. She is rude!
