2007
It is 2008 and since the last review I have gotten married and now have a permanent roommate. We have renewed our lease for another year after deciding to same some money and possibly buying our own place next year. I still love the place and my wife has very few complaints (the trash area smelling, the air conditioner in the bedroom does not cool down the whole apartment and everything being very white).
Once again I am renewing my lease here. I am really enjoying this place as a central hub to Downtown L.A., Hollywood, Pasadena, Alhambra, Santa Monica & B.H.. Those who have a problem with the Leasing Manager, Chanelle are nuts. She has been nothing but personable and helpful to me. I have a problem and make her aware of it and she will get it taken care of as soon as possible. Seeing as she lives in the apartment complex, she makes sure that problems are fixed. Granted this isn't a 5 star apartment complex with all the extra bells and whistles but for the very good prices you pay, you get a safe and quiet place to call home.
I just renewed my lease thru 2006 and I am quite happy at Tuscani Villas. I don't know what was the situation with the disgruntled renter but I would tend to think that they were the problem and not the management. There seems to be a younger crop of renters at Tuscani and that is surprisingly good to see. Although the rates have increased in the last few months (to coincide with those of us that rented last year) it still is reasonable compared to other apartments right next to downtown (i.e. The Medici is renting 1 bedrooms starting at $1,370 and look at those sorry reviews). Save yourself the money and look at renting here. There is no swimming pool or a workout gym on the premises but with the extra money you save you can join any gym you want and have money left over for your weekends. The guest parking is still a pain but Chanelle is still renting out spots when available. Chanelle will do whatever she can to make sure you are happy. It is located about 10 minutes from all the major freeways (10, 60, 110, and the 5) and it only takes about 30 to 45 minutes to Hollywood. And the beaches are 45 minutes to an hour away. Overall I have to recommend it for anyone looking for a good and solid apartment in the heart of L.A..
