Good, Pricey

I have a bachelor, and have been here about four months.

The apartment itself is what you'd expect for its priciness: spacious, hardwood floors (not all have this), big windows and balcony (my balcony is larger than most), high ceilings, new stainless-steel appliances, washer and dryer in-apartment.

The location is excellent - pretty quiet since I'm on a side street, not on Venice; close to various grocieries (including Trader Joe's), Sony; not far to the beach or parks.

Closet space is a little low (one 8x4 closet for the bedroom, and a small entryway closet and a small outdoor closet).

Noise from other apartments is minimal - mostly footsteps from above or a chair scraping, but not enough to really notice. The fire alarm is indeed extraordinarily piercing, but it's only gone of twice (I think) when I've been here; annoying, but easy to get over.

It is pricey.

The grounds are very tidy, but rather austere; not necessarily homey.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I haven't had many problems (a broken cabinet handle that was fixed promptly after I moved in), so I don't have a good feel for maintenance.

(The pictures are from as I was moving in.)
