It seems to me that there's this cycle that goes on- angry tenant writes over-dramatic negative review, employee writes a response about how great the place is. Like everything in life, somewhere in the middle there probably lies the truth. But regardless, my girlfriend and I chose not to live in Villa Azure based on these reviews- we went with Avalon, and are VERY happy. VERY. Thanks everyone for helping us dodge a bullet. Because even if 1% of the negative reviews are true, it's clear that there is some real racial tension at this place and nothing I'd ever want to be part of.

I am a tenant. You hit the nail on the head, regarding racial tension. It's not like I feel unsafe or majorly uncomfortable, but you definitely know it's there. It's as if some people feel that any 'minority' should not be living here, and if they are they must be a thug or some kind of trouble. The funny thing is, no one ever says this to your face. The strange and often surprised looks when 'they' see a black, or brown face let you know. Then the reviews solidify that feeling. Many of them are racially based and have no basis in reality. I have written rebuttals to some of the negative reviews here, and again I am a tenant. I'm just frustrated with the obvious racially motivated reviews. I've lived here for two years and have had no problems with the management or the tenants. But you can feel the racial tension in common areas like the gym and the pool area.Nothing like a fight or riot is going to break out, just uncomfortable-ness. As an --------american female, with a 9 daughter, we often get the "oh, I didn't know you lived here" or "what are you doing here" looks. We also get the occasional startled look, as if we are going to jump someone. It's just strange. I say, to those who feel put upon by living in mixed race communities, move somewhere else. I've grown up around all different cultures, so to me it's not such a big deal. Just ignorant.

Ha! Look it's not about your race or color. It's how you live, a quility of life issue, and assemilation. If you want to live like an anamil go back to the Ghetto. No body wants to hear your foul languarge and noise. There are a few rednecks here too, just last week I had to warn a fella who had his daughter in the Jacuzzi. She was playing santa claus with the bubbles. He was unaware the bubbles came from the slime off these peoples bodies. This week it (the Jacuzzi) was closed, hopefully not as a result of the child getting sick. RE: "Like everything in life, somewhere in the middle there probably lies the truth." Except that in this case the truth lies way below the middle. I think congress has a better approval rating than 31%.

Cohise...learn to spell and write correctly. If you want to publish an opinion, good, bad, or indifferent, use spell check; you look foolish.

Moving to Villa Azure was the biggest mistake of my life, there was a prostitute that lived down the hall from me, and she was a he!
