Optical Illusion - Avoid at All Costs!

I have now lived at Villa Azure for about two years. My first impression was that the office, pool area, and apartments were fairly nice for the price range of $2,000.

In the mean time I've found that:
-They rent entire buildings out to college students (Art Institute).
-The management and staff changes more frequently than anywhere I've lived.
-The "security" lets anybody in who sits at the gate long enough.
-Security will not stop anybody leaving with stolen property.
-The Security Cameras DO NOT record anything, so BRE will not be responsible for any crimes committed on the property.

Since living here:
-My vehicle has been damaged twice while it was parked in my assigned parking space.
-The damage has totalled over $1,000 and BRE will not investigate the incident or pay for it through their insurance.
-The security staff changes almost monthly and none of them are any better than the last group"
-The fire alarm in my building has gone off in the middle of the night 5 times.
-At least 3 car alarms go off in the parking structure every night.
-I have witnessed drug deals on the property.
-I have been approached by residents whom tried to sell me switch blade knives.

In conclusion, the property looks nice, but is unsafe. The maintenance staff is great, but the Office staff, Management and Customer Service is HORRIBLE!

The sign in the front of the property should include:
"Thank you for your money. We are not responsible for vandalism, theft, narcotics trafficking, or any other illegal acts committed by the people our security staff lets in here on a daily basis"

She is telling the truth 100%. This place is a complete nightmare. I cannot even sleep at night, cars coming and going at all times 2-3-4-5 in the morning people are driving over that speedbump that makes the LOUDEST sound and it echos through the parking structure. I saw some guy trying to sell bootleg movies on the property too! I have also seen a drug deal, but I also saw someone snorting cocaine off the curb in front of centinela. They are not responsible for criminal acts because otherwise they would be bankrubpt. The maintenance staff is good. The management team avoids your phone calls because they are constantly overwhelmed by complaint phone calls.

I KNOW for a FACT that the only positive comments made here are done by management. I USED to live there and thank God I got out alive. The fire alarms go off too often. I have never lived any where where the fire alarms go off so much and for so long. Security does in fact let anyone in. I've left my clicker in my other car before, and when I pull up and ask them to let me in, they do so with out asking me where I live or proof of it. The security is changed so frequently because management is aware that they do a crappy job and hire other staff. But nothing changes. Management consists of crooks in a suit. They'll say anything to get you to live there. In fact, I moved there only because I was placed there due to my job. Looking at the website it looks like an ideal place to live. When I spoke to the staff they had the AUDASITY to tell me it was in Marina Del Rey! WTF is that? More like Inglewood! Had I known how close it is to the ghetto, I would have refused! But they'll do anything for your buck.

I agree that this apartment is a hell hole..Noisy neighbors, dirty jacuzzi (one time there was a dead possum floating), inconsiderate and unfriendly staff. Oh, before you sign your life on the contract, bring a copy home and read every word. The contract entirely protects them and thier interests, not you as renters.

This post makes absolutely no sense. Why would you continue to live at such a place as you have described. If you can afford to pay nearly $2000 monthly to lease, you can definitely stand to move somewhere else. I lived there for almost 2 years and most of these claims are outright bogus and the others are greatly exaggerated. While I was there the fire alarm went off a few times. It happened in the span of two weeks and the culprits were eventually caught, the alarms stopped going off. I never witnessed any type of drug deals here. NEVER! Switch Blades, What the F#!*? So my suggestion to this author is MOVE ALREADY. Two years of living in a virtual Hell. Yet you remain. Hhmmmmm?! And this is not a post from management. If I thought YOU were legitimate, I'd offer more personal info. Avianka needs spell check. Also, all of Inglewood is not a Ghetto. Also this place is situated in an upper-middle class neighborhood, hence the high rent and people willing to pay . I don't get why so many people complain only after they have lived here for several years. I'd have moved out alot sooner if I were having this much trouble.

This is mostly true! They do not, nor cannot rent entire buildings to Art Institue. And I have never seen a dead possum in the pool. Everything else is true! Even most of the comments. And it is true that the positive feedback was left by employees. Well, not completely by employees. 2 or 3 were written by residents when the manager offered them $50 if they wrote positive feedback. The 12/13 response was probably an employee.
