SYke your mind...fooled you! Everyone is correct!
Pros: Pool
Cons: Everything Else
Please stay here, do it, Experience it for yourself! Learn the hard way, its human nature not to listen.
This place is the $hit! LITERALLY:( Don t stay here. It's funny, because even after reading all these reviews previously here on this website and on Apartment Ratings dot com my dumb-a$$ still decided to stay here. I guess I tried to justify this place because the opportunity seemed practical and unlike most leases I had a way out of this fake, monstrosity Hollyhood place. I ranked it 5 stars for Ghetto Fabulous, since it didn t have a ranking for no stars, a big fat ZERO! Here are my 4 reasons I moved-in, followed by a few reasons I left...
Reasons I moved-in:
1st - My older brother been living here for a year plus and still staying there...If he did it, and never talked bad about his place. I figured it must not be that bad at all, and everyone else must just be complainers, because they didn t get their way or they re all bougie bourgeois.
2nd - Location I worked at UCLA (fulltime) 3 Mon-Wed and in the heart of Inglewood (fulltime) Thursday-Sunday. It was a nice mid-point. A hop, skip, and a jump away from Santa Monica College, where I attended a part-time hybrid online-on-campus class. Close to LAX. Close to the beaches. Next Howard Hughes Center and Fox Hills Mall. I enjoy coming to the Ladera Heights area, which some call the Black Beverly Hills.
3rd - Discount/Open Lease Contract- An acquaintenance of mine worked there as a leasing agent, and I moved in with them as a roommate for a fraction of the cost. Couldn't beat it, but if it was me alone, for the price I absolutely would not. Even if it was me, and a roommate to split the cost, especially without the employee discount .still a hell to the no. I make good money and I work hard for it. I understand if you want quality, convenience, and the finer things in life you must be willing to pay for it. I m willing, but this place is not able to provide the quality and service it should for the expensive price it demands. I had nothing to lose by trying this place, if I would be liable to stay 6 - 12mths by lease without a way out of the contract I wouldn t have even considered.
4th Last, but certainly not least: The pool, yeah it got me too! Ooh it ll be my getaway A peaceful place to relax without getting in. A peaceful place where my perverted butt w/ol man syndrome can check out the eye candy without heading to the beach! The pool is the only thing going for it to a point. I do not mind the second-hand Mary Jane smokin' at times, but not all the time Give me a break! I don t mind kids jumpin in and out the hot tub to the pool and back to the hot tub, right next to you...I enjoy kids being kids, and it s refreshing to see them having fun, enjoying life, and reminding me when I was a kid. But WTF...where are these BeBe kid s parents while there pissing all up in the spa''' I try to sneak in the pool and jacuzzi at night, when I can get some peaceful serenity and the security which is are nowhere to be found when you need them, all of a sudden decide to work and do their job, pop up and tell me I must leave For the price they re asking, the pool should be open 24hrs with a sign of respect to keep the noise down. Security should at least use discretion on whom to enforce those rules on. If you re very quiet and incognito they should let you be and turn a blind eye. They seem to on everything else that really matters. This leads me to
Reasons I moved out:
1. Security sucks: They are there in the front gates for show. Anybody can get in whenever they want, all they have to do is drive into the gate like they live there, and security will hit the button. In other apartment complexes of this price caliber have their security roam the hallways and do checks. They do not here. Another reason why people s laundry gets lifted, or robbed and raped in the elevators. Yes room break-ins do occur. I was lucky not to have my car get broken into, but on the other hand, I never leave anything in there and since the windows or not tinted the thieves I guess can see that. Others haven t been so lucky. Mailboxes are kept across from the elevators on the first floor, adjacent to entry/exits in all the buildings. If it s too big a package, the office will not be responsible for it and they will leave it by your door, in which yes, it will be jacked by the time you get home or wake up. You must be sure to have a note in your box stating you will pick up oversized packages directly from the post office. The whole time I was there (2months) they never came a fixed the entrance door made of glass, which the glass was broken, and door wouldn t lock. Even if it did, since the glass was broken you can just reach in and unlock it, or walk through the door. LOL
2. The management and maintenance sucks period, God forbid your sinks, toilets, go out. I had to go in numerous times to have a work order placed on my phone jacks. I could not get phone, most importantly internet service for almost two months. They dragged their feet. For a month and half I had to go to my friends home and use their internet just to attend my schools online course. Think of how inconvenient after working all day, coming home and having to leave just use the internet. The few hours that the apartment business center is open, the two available computers are being hogged by kids and adults browsing MySpace and face book, you ask them if you can get on their real quick for 10-15min to complete an assignment or for 5 min to download and turn-in some homework saved my thumb drive. See how fast they move for you!
3. Ants, ants, and more ants. I kept the ants out for awhile, but my roommate had a hard-time cleaning up after their self and taking out the garbage. No crumbs, not even bread crumbs and still you might see some around. I thank the Air Force for my white-glove inspection cleaning skills, but still no contest to these motha-ucka s, they re everywhere. My dirty-a$$ roommate had a few roaches in that room.
4. Parking is a nightmare. The structure, the spaces. Don t even try to have more than 1 guest. I there s someone in your spot too, ooh go ahead and get a tow truck and see if your car doesn t get vandalized in retaliation. The speed bumps in the parking area are enormous. Too big. If you don t have a truck, go slower than slow. I drive respectful and sensible, go over the speed bumps are a headache and every time I grit my teeth that it doesn t scrap my cars undercarriage.
5. The diversity is cool. There s high-salary working professionals and street-pharmacists, to low-salary folks that seem to be on Section 8/Welfare. I ve seen an apt with 8 people living there. I wouldn t care if that was a family situation, but it s not
6. For all utilities you can only go with their contracted designated service provider. Such as for phone service AT&T only, for cable service Direct TV or Consolidated only.
All in all what s funny is my older brother finally had it. He hates moving. He moved so many places and he s tired. But during the crunch of our economy a 6-9 months ago while homes our being foreclosed and apartments were drastically reducing their rent, this place Villa Azzure decided to increase their rent. LOL HA HA what some blood sucking leaches and economically inconsiderate vultures' This place is not ethically sound. My older brother makes enough not to care about price, and enough to buy a home, but I think it s the principal of the matter, that he finally noticed why I stayed there no longer than two months
Hopes this helps your decision! I can say more but all the other reviews says it for me. I hate writing, I hate complaining, and I lived here over a year ago. I always said when I have the time I ll drop a few lines, so there it is!

Is this a trick? I think you need to reconcile your comments with your rating. 17% i guess this is very good for a Section 8, Apartment.

i could not agree more with this review. Security was a joke, the management changed hands so many times while i lived there, that it was like a revolving door! The best was when the police came knocking on my door at midnight asking if I had seen anyone lurking around earlier in the evening. Aparently a neighbor just a few doors down from mine was beaten up in their apartment and then kidnapped! Talk about an experience!

clutterbug must have lived in building 4?
Oh, 1 person was mugged and beaten up and a second person was held up at gunpoint and kidnapped, but I don't think he was beaten up....
