Lived here over 10 years. I enjoyed the beautiful patio, the artistic tenants and the layed-back atmosphere. The building's layout offers a comfortable and calm setting in hustle-and-bustle Hollywood. The new owner, Julie Patten, is a bit too business-oriented, however. For the most part she stays out of everyone's hair and allows her wonderful staff to do the good job they were already doing before she took over. Just look out when moving out, as she will nickel and dime your security deposit until there is nothing left of it. In my case, she sent me a letter informing me that not only was she keeping all of it, but I owed her another $164 on top of it! The case is still pending. I still wouldn't let this dissuade you from living there, however, as this is only an issue that you may have to deal with when leaving. Other than that, the place comes highly recommended from a true Villa Vet!
