Far too expensive for only an ok place

I have been living at Villa Vicente for about a year and I have been thinking about moving out for some time now. Initially, I first rented my SMALL studio for about $1030 and have experienced a string of additional charges. Now, I am informed (with the new base rate increase and additional small charges throughout the year possibly due to some changes such as painting and landscaping) that I will be paying $1159.
Some may say that $1030 is steep enough for a small studio but the location, the privacy, and the quiet convinced me it was worth it. Now, at $1159, I m reconsidering it all
In addition to the rate increases, you are promised that there is a visiting exterminator from which I have yet to see any changes in the roach infestation throughout the hallways. A couple will sneak under your door if you don t habitually spray the doorway. Additionally, I have also seen a number of possums
In terms of the apartment s condition, when you move in, it is not too great getting rid of the mold, rust, etc. from the shower is a pain. The new paint begins to chip dramatically and you notice the thinness of the coating.
Overall, only an OK place but the time you probably move in, the rates may have increased so much that you may be better off paying off a mortgage instead of renting at Villa Vicente.
