This place looks a lot nicer than a lot of places in the area, and they make you feel like you'll get your rent's worth since there's a 24 hour security guard and all, but don't be fooled. The security guards are the most useless thing ever and the management leaves the gates to the parking garage open all the time. We had 10 cars broken into in a single week. Between a smashed window and stolen GPS (among other things), I lost an extra month's rent right there. The management basically was like, "Well sucks to be you!" and renter's insurance doesn't cover theft outside your little unit. Did the management improve security at all' No. More cars were broken into the following weekend.

Next they screw you over on the Security Deposit. Make no mistake about it, they won't ever give you a penny back. When we first moved in they told us that usually they charge a carpet cleaning fee, unless the carpet is really clean. I spent hours steam cleaning my carpets before we left, because I didn't want to get charged the cleaning fee. As we checked out, they informed me instead that regardless of what shape the carpet was in, they would charge us the fee anyways. I was angry about this, only to get the paperwork a week later that said they weren't charging us to clean the carpet, but instead were charging us to replace the carpet entirely. Needless to say, there was NOTHING wrong with the carpets when we left. They charged us another $100 to clean the oven, and another couple hundred to repaint the walls, despite nothing being wrong with them except a couple nail holes.

Definitely not worth all the extra charges that you have to rack up for their negligence and greed.

absolutely agree. They tried to charge me over $500 over my security deposit when i left, but i looked up the renters rights laws and fought back. In the end, they gave me back $300 of my deposit. You should definitely fight back on that issue.
