I've lived here for 8 months or so and it is acceptable. There are ups and downs to this place. First the downs: poor construction, afterthought workout room, and expensive. The building is overall poorly constructed. My floors are not even and the cabinets and walls don t seem to align properly. Maybe I m ultra critical or ultra sensitive. The workout room seems like they added it in as an afterthought. I ve seen the Visconti s and the Orsini s workout rooms and theirs seem like a world class gym compared to the villas. Anyway, LA Fitness is not too far away from the Villas so you can always go there (extra money). The price is really expensive but I guess I am paying for location. I looked at the Orsini in downtown LA and the construction and amenities were far superior and less expensive however; I hated the location. This brings me to my ups: Management, services, pool, neighbors, parking, Maintenance, location, location, location. The management is really friendly and they seem to think up new ways to try to get people together or provide a little extra effort. Simple things like posting weather reports and such in the elevators or passing out bag breakfast at the front gate in the morning were really unexpected and pleasant. They should do the bag breakfast more often. They have movie nights where they will serve snacks. Weekend breakfast for free and free coffee all the time in the club house seems simple but really makes me want to go down to the club house and hang out. The services are decent. They are good about receiving packages, dry cleaning service, laundry service, and they refer cleaning services as well. The pool is great. Besides the fact that it is fairly well appointed, the pool is great because of the tenants, which brings me to the neighbors . I ve met many of the neighbors and they seem very friendly. They are all relatively young or young at heart. A lot of MTV Hollywood hipsters as well as east coast transplants live here. Seems like there are a lot of corporate expats living here as well. Everyone seems to be reading scripts by the pool on weekday afternoons. In any event, the people seem fun loving if not hip and somewhat glam. My parking is excellent but I suppose that would depend on where you are assigned. In any event, the gate security guards are friendly. There is plenty of guest parking which is a major bonus. I won t go over to some of my friend s apartments because I have to find street parking an almost impossible task on week end evenings in some neighborhoods. During the day, I see people cleaning all the time. The grounds are very well maintained. Also, my service requests which I can request online is done very quickly and to my satisfaction. I ll remember something needs to be done so I ll just request it online from work. The final thing I love about my apartment is the location. It is close to everything Pan Pacific Park, the Grove, LA Fitness, La Brea shopping and eating, West Hollywood, La Cienega restaurants, Fairfax district (Damiano s delivers!), etc . I read all the other reviews and some people have valid points. There is good and bad to every place. You have to decide what is most important to you. For me, the people I live around and the location where I live is the most important. All the other things are nice to haves.
