I am still living in Visconti, it's not too bad but felt like it could be a lot better. I caught the security guard sleeping at night all the time. There's this once that I realize some people were trapped in the elevator (they were pressing the alarm for a while), I went downstairs and saw the security guard smiling at me, didnt seem to realize that the elevator alarm has been ringing for a long time, I have to tell her and THEN she realizes people are trapped. She seems most of the time doesn't know what to do with a lot of things, kinda just like sits there and that's it. I have also had ant problems in the apartment, at first I thought it was just my apartment (strange cuz i live on the highest floor) but then I overheard conversation between a leasing agent and a woman who's about to sign the lease. She asks if there are any other apartments with ant problems, the leasing agent just lied to her right away so she could sign the lease. Concierge never answers, so dont bother to call. Sometimes I do feel that I got tricked in the signing the lease.
however, Visconti has really good amenities and the building is very well maintained, the pool is closed at 10pm but they're not too strict about going after 10. the staff is OKAY, they help you but sometimes can come off as if they help because they have to (and that they're actually annoyed). Maintainence is not bad, problems in the apartment are usually fixed within a couple days. I have heard of several breakins but personally and luckily, I have not yet encountered one. security is not very tight, so a lot of times, random people can just come in. The walls, i have to agree with other reviewers, are EXTREMELY thin, i can hear everything going on next door. Sometimes I worry if Visconti can survive an earthquake with such thin walls. It's so so living here, I don't know if I'm gonna continue my lease yet, but almost all the downtown apartments have their own issues and you usually dont find out until you move in, I read a lot of reviews of different apartments, Visconti's not THAT bad

I've lived here since the beginning, and agree with pretty much everything you said (though I was not aware of the elevator thing). Fortunately, now that the weather outside is a bit warmer, the ants seem to have gone away, but I was also told that our apt was the only one w/ an ant problem! Aside from that though, management has been doing a great job in my opinion. They've handled all of my issues quickly and professionally, and are always very friendly and kind. I don't appreciate being lied to, but they had maintenance come to my apt to deal w/ the ants the same day I complained about it. I also agree that the building is well maintained, EXCEPT for the garage where piles of dirt/dust/debris are all over the place and my car needs washing every couple of weeks just from the dust that flies around when I park/leave. They really need to do something about the garage floors...
