not safe From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/17/2005 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004   Walls and floors are very thin. Having guests over was a nightmare due to the parking permits. The local dance clubs down the street attracted local drug dealers, which you'll see hanging out at all four corners at the intersection of Hollywood and Sycamore. Heavy traffic congestion whenever concerts were being held at the Hollywood Bowl. Daily LAPD helicopter noise at all hours. I think one of the pluses of Westbury was the tenants. You will find almost every country represented in this building. From sex offenders to shemales, Westbury has it. The elevator sucks and breaks down a lot. Forget about getting your deposit back. Management claims they use it to replace carpet and repaint after you move out. Even if the carpet and walls were professionally cleaned. Consider your deposit as a bonus check for the sleazy management company.
