not a vey nice place to live...

This building is consistently marketed as a "luxury" building--this is simply NOT TRUE. The exterior of the building in nice and clean and looks fairly new, but that does not equal luxury.
First of all, the people working in the management office are very unprofessional. They are the type of people who ignore you when you walk in in hopes that you will go away. And then when you try to let them know you need help they act all flustered and irritated. Also, I am afraid to have packages delivered, since pick up slips are pasted outside our mailboxes (where anyone can take them) and the management office does not ask for an ID when you give them the pick-up slip. I have lived here for 4 months and have already been robbed of two packages because of this. The tracking numbers have shown that my packaged were received by the management office, but the people in the management office seem to have no idea where my deliveries are.
Next: Again, this place is not luxury--you will know this when you walk into any of the apartment units. They all have old electric ovens/stoves. These are difficult to cook with and look like crap. The kitchen and batroom floor are covered with cheap linoleum. How is this place possibly luxury'!'!
Third: A lot of decent people live in the building, but quite a few ghetto people live here too. I have had my laundry basket stolen from the laundry room. I have had clothes stolen from the laundry room. People smoke cigarettes in the staiwells and even sometimes in the elevators. Some people play music late and the security guard won't do anything. Again, this is not luxury living!
Fourth: This last point is not a big deal, but may be important for some. All of the units have balconies, and seems liek a nice feature at first. BUT the buildings in the complex are so close togetehr that it feel like you are in someone else's living room if you're sitting on your balcony. Its not private at all.
Hope this helps anyone interested in living here. Sure there are plenty of worse places, but hear are some things to consider specifically about this place.
PS This place is really expensive too! I don't kow who made one of the older reviews who said this place is cheap--but he must have been talking about renting 10 years ago or something. I have a 405 square foot studio and I'm paying $1050.00 per month plus an extra $50 penalty per month since I have a six month lease instaed of a full year lease = $1100 total. I would expect luxury for this much money in a part of LA that has nothing interesting to offer... unfortunately I'm not getting it.
