I lived at Westside Villas for 2 years, which spanned two different sets of management. I found the grounds to be well-kept, the area safe and convenient, and fairly quiet (with the exception of one tentant playing his stereo WAY too loud!) The management was friendly enough, although they didn't go out of their way to make new friends! The noise level inside the apt was fine, and I even lived on a unit that faced Beverly Glen! Of course there is some inconvenience that comes with apt living, and unfortunately some riff-raff can and usually does slip through the cracks. But if I can live there (and I am as prissy as they come!), I think it would be a great choice for anyone who needs convenience and doesn't mind a little noise from time to time.
