I have been renting in West L.A. for over 10 years and this(Beloit building)is the worst apartment I have ever been in. The building's fire alarm went off at least 4 times this year. The last time the fire department didn't even bother to come to the building. The management does not seem to be interested in fixing the fire alarm and endangers everyone's life in the building. The current manager Norma does not return calls after many messages, and we as tenants feel really helpless. Tenants of our building signed a petition in order to have the fire alarm and the lighting fixture fixed. I still can't tell if the fire alarm is really working properly. The fact is that majority of the tenants moved out after 1 year, everyone I talked to is unhappy with the staff. It is very hard to believe there are positive comments about the building. They must be in a different building managed by Equity Office. Most of us are not as lucky. Please take our advise and find a better place to rent.
