Moving into Wilshire Royale seemed like a good deal, we're paying 1195 a mo. for a 900 sq ft. 1 Bedroom.
However.....
Adding parking is a must...for 100 bucks per space per month, not including the countless # of door-dings and scratches your car will recieve in the uncovered lot. If your convinced it's a rip off go for the street parking but don't say i didn't warn you. With street parking around the "fabulous Wilshire Royale" you can pretty much count on having your car Broken into, stolen or just be lucky to find a spot within a 20 minute walk....if you dare to walk, that is.
The Lobby gives you a nice, renovated feel, if i dare say.
The Leasing agent will then begin to tell you about how the complex is going to have a new gym, a cafe on the property and a meeting area...HA!!!
Since I've moved in on Aug. 15th there has been no modification to any of these establishments, though consant annoying constuction seems to be going on in the "Cafe" my thoughts are that, the management rents it out as a workshop for small tasks.
The Pool is a joke, along with the hottub you can expect a overwhelming feeling of discust while you try to relax in what's prob. a small fountian of urine and chlorine.
The Apartment's themselves come with no dishwasher, no garbage disposal, no microvave, and overpainted kitchen cabnets that require alot of shaking to get open.
Along with these outstanding amenities at this fantastic establishment you can also look foward to having a bathroom that uses shutters instead of a door, the Outstanding Symphoney of which only the Traffic of Wilshire Blvd can produce, the Homeless Living on the roof of the building, The Elevators constantly broken down, The Fantastic Lively Diverse Local Business Area and Lets not forget the ever changing temp of shower water (it's BEYOND what flushing the toliet while someones in the shower does)!!!
Okay Bottom Line.....
DO NOT MOVE HERE, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, THIS WAS THE WORST AND I MEAN THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!!
Thank god i only signed a 6 Month Lease.
I Hope this helps any of you that are considering this property and please excuse my puncuation and spelling.

Hi there, I understand the concept of wehat you are talking about. I joined to property management feild over 3-4 years ago to make a difference. Now i work in the area at a different community on wilshire, grant you I agree when it comes to the street parking and the 100 a month extra fee, at our community I got our owners to talk down the price of parking to 25 a month since our structure is a block away. When looking to move check out our community at 2424 wislhire and see if this is a community you could ne happy with. Wilshire royale is not a bad place, it is very historical building and we all have one thing in common, you can't make everyone happy.

I Don't know what apartment this person lives in but my apartment on the 8th is the best. But of course I wouldn't settle for anything less. People need to remember when you rent apartments the staff of said apartments work for you. So if the the ---- aint right they fix it within reason. My apt was completly redone. This person seems to be complaining to the choir when they be complainting to the management. if the management is non responsive then go to the management company. If you think this is bad try living in hollyhood or other parts of the city. I think you should grow up, be an adult and take care of business and stop whinning. Have you once voiced your concerns to the management? Always put it in writing.

I have an entirely different experience with the place, and have been living here for going on 5 years now. They don't charge for electricity which is a huge plus, as I can keep my apartment cool during the summer, they did in fact update the Gym, they always address any issues I have, even with the parking fee it's cheaper than most places in the area and the issue with the water and elevators was resolved years ago.
I've been very happy with my time here, and the price. The only downside is the cafe-turned-club downstairs was shut down because the people who bought the space in the building refused to comply with the rules about letting people into the back area at night, causing a lot of sound to loudly echo up to the apartments. It's a shame, I liked the club atmosphere and it was always full and it's not the fault of the people who own the apartments as it was a leased property. It's my hope something replaces it soon.
Oh yeah, the parking guys are always careful with the cars. A couple people had problems years ago but it's been problem free since.
