NOISE and BAD MANAGEMENT

I lived here a couple of years ago. It has mentally scared me for life. I still get cold sweats at night. Terrible place. I went on PROZAC as a result.
NOISE! NOISE and yes more NOISE!
The management decided to contract with a local college. The place soon filled up with the dregs of society. Some 1 bed apartments had 4 living in them. Full of drunken foul mouthed freaks who partied every night. The management knew but did nothing. A normal nights sleep was off the menu. The 11pm curfew was a joke. The BBQ and pool was regularly used until the early hours with sleepy security nowhere to be found. The rudest management who didn't care and a standard of living you wouldn't want your dog to go through.
Complaint after complaint was shunned. Regular police activity and prostitutes was rife and a general unsafe enviroment forced many decent long time tenants to flee!
I recently visited under a cloud of insanity to to be told not much has changed. Although a few of the students have been kicked out. I guess when they started trashing the place it got too much.
I can swear I witnessed: Prostitution, Armed Robbery, My Car was Stolen, My Clothes in the Laundry were Stolen, Students Urinating and Vomiting off the Balcony, Parties ALL NIGHT and paper thin walls did not help. If theres a response to this posting to the contrary, don't beleive it. Clothes STOLEN from laundry room. Management didn't care!
If you want to live a fairly normal life with decent management GO ELSWHERE!

I currently work in the office but I live here too. Now I did not work here during those past years you had bad experiences, but I do live and work here now and have absolutly no idea what you are talking about when you say nothing has changed.
I have worked all over LA and Kansas City for the past 8 years at various buildings of all ages and sizes. ANYWHERE you go, there may be problems. Places where one bedrooms rent for $2500 a month have the same problems that we experience at times. However, there are laws and restrictions that keep you from being able to take care of certain problems without following various formalities.
I would like everyone to know, that we do not like it when there are problems and that we do care. We do our very best to take care of any problems, and in fact, we do our best to prevent them before they ever even occur.
We live here too so why would we not want to take care of problems? That makes no sense.
I suggest you stop implying that past problems are current problems, especially as you do not live here anymore. I also challenge you to find a community in any major city without any problems.
Nowhere is perfect but we do try and we certainly do care!

Please,

My biggest regret--with respect to moving into the Woodcliff--is that the apartment is too quiet and boring. I wish that there were prostitutes and drunken colleges students.

I just finished college in Chicago and to be honest part of the reason I moved to the apartment--besides the close distance to Century City--was for the 24-7 Party atmosphere. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist and that is the honest truth.

that was too much... it is good and not-too-loud place to live except a lot of rich foreign students from Korea have low self-esteem and low moral. that makes me feel rent is a little too high.

For the ones of you who praize that s**hole, shame on you! I have been traumatized by my experience in that place between 2001 and 2002. If we need medication for what we went thought, you need it also for saying what you say! You are the freaks that he/she was talking about, for sure.

TIP! Video tape your apt when you leave. I did as the apt was left in good condition. I still got a letter claiming $$$$ for cleaning and repair. When I replied with my tape I never heard from them again and didn't pay a penny. A bunch of theives and crooks. Better still...don't move in you'll surely regret it.
