We moved into the La Mar apartments over a year ago and have not had a single negitive experience. We have rented most of our lives and so far the La Mar apartments and the management are reasonable, fair, just and very compasionate. It is very difficult to find all of these qualities in one place. We have been fortunate to have had no incidents here. We feel safe and very importantly, we feel welcome. The residents are a professional bunch so there isn't a lot of interations, people pretty much keep to themselves, but the kids have no problem socializing.
The one and only down fall this complex faces is that there are no air-conditioners. One would be nice but not neccessary. We look at it as a luxury not a neccessity. So by all means by your own if you have to have one! The complex is smaller than most we have lived in and we like the personal, quaint enviroment. I guess you can't please everyone all of the time. We have lived in some very spectacular apartments but the managment really was unapprocable and sterile. Not here! The manager walks through his complex with pride greeting his tennets with a big smile. He always asks how things are going and if we need anything. A manager being proactive with his tennets' What a concept! We have enjoyed my tenency at the La Mar apartments and plan on staying. If you enjoy a small, quaint, friendly enviorment to live your life, try the La Mar apartments, we have no complaints!

Funny how all apartments are occupied pretty mcuh all the time! Has to say something for the place!
