My first problem here is with the appliances, I have never seen a dishwasher so old. It isn't even attached properly so when the door is down the whole machine tilts forward. I refuse to use it. The stove has a poor ground so the temperature knobs shock us with current which also affects our microwave. If the stove is on, don't touch the microwave, it shocks us also. Maintenance says there is nothing wrong with it and maybe I cook with wet hands...absurdity. The office staff is unprofessional and harassing and if they don't like you personally, you will be singled out and eventually forced out. The Asst. Mgr. spreads rumors to tenants about other tenants, she walks her dog and doesn't always clean up after it. Complaints are discounted with an excuse or sarcastic comeback of sorts. The noise is obnoxious, everything echoes into the apts. Phone calls almost never returned.

I have had a very similar experience in this apartment community. Since living here I have witnessed several drug deals right in front of my apartment and watched a woman beat up her husband in the playground. I have never met so many self-righteous parents who can't see the issues their own children project around here yet have no problems knocking on doors and complaining about others. The office staff is very uppity and snotty and are of no help.

I just read your review. I have been a resident at Sandpiper for a while. I have seen the change in management and do not agree with most of what you have said. In fact, based upon the details you gave, I am pretty sure I know who this is. Without giving specifics, I will tell you that perhaps you should look at yourself, and the fact that most of us have talked about how you neglect your small son (daily). He has been seen sitting in the street, no shoes, dirty and eating dry cereal by himself, for hours on out. Maybe that's why his behavior is so diruptive and he continues to draw attention to himself by vandilizing our cars and picking fights with our kids. This is "apartment living' by the way. If you are so unhappy - MOVE!!!!

Hmm maybe the management does talk about people. How would the second poster know who this was unless management talked about the complaining about the stove to them. Because in the description there was no indication of who this was. I would Assume that they are. They are a craigslist special. Everyone has different opinions and such, but coming on here and talking about people personally is slander and the management could be held liable if it could be proven in court.

I am the resident with the stove. I believe the asst. manager herself is the person who responded as knowing who I am. My family has had an ongoing problem with her for several months, but I am happy to report that this is my last month here. I have already contacted Fair Housing regarding an issue of discrimination based on familial status. She has threatened my family with our lease 4 times since we resigned our lease 8 months ago because she strongly dislikes my son. My youngest son was playing in the grass, which apparently was covered in small shards of glass, he fell in it and suffered severe cuts that required stitches on both legs. I reported the incident and two days later received a letter of refusal to renew lease and 60 days to vacate. I cannot describe the anger that washed over me, but now I am embarrassed that I let it get to me that way. We have secured a new place and cannot wait to get out of here!
