I'm from NYC, and I have a good idea of what constitutes a decent apartment. Bar Harbor is not top of the line, but coming from NYC you'll think it's a palace. Yes, it is sparce compared to the other Marina apartments, but it's clean - no bugs - decent sized apts - reasonable rent and the maintenance crew fixes everything you need. Yes, they may take a few days, but if you are dilligent you can get them to arrive when you want them to come back if they didn't fix it. Negatives - the construction on Panay way from Dolphin Marina has been going on for 3 years. It's not going to stop soon. Noise is a problem in the AM and on Saturday. And they are going to convert the old Benny Hana into something soon. So if I were you, I would try and negotiate a rental discount.
