I have lived at Marina Harbor for a few years and it gets WORSE almost on a daily basis!! The Management... don't even get me started!! They are all a bunch of middle school drop-outs from the operators to the leasing manager. I could write for hours just telling you of my experiances alone not to mention what I have heard from other tenants! They went as far as to try and evict me for getting married!!! They took me to court to try and evict me because I notified them that my new wife was going to be moving in!! Thank goodness the Judge had a brain and threw them out!

They totally lie about the ongoing construction disaster. They tell us dates and times that electricity and water will be turned off (at times for up to 8 hrs.) and they are almost always wrong, not by hours, but by days and then when it is shut off they lie about it and say that they broke a water main or a transformer blew and after confirming with DWP and So. Cal Edison, they had no distruptions! They noise is unbearable with the construction and starts at 8:00a, and goes non-stop until at least 5:00pm. Not to mention that they brag about the pools and hot tubs, but they have not been available since MArch and we are now heqaring that it will be until Jan. 2008 that they will re-open!! Nice way to enjoy the summer!

Last, but certainly not least almost on a weekely basis we get notices that cars are getting broken into, rapes and sexual assaults have occured and attempted abductions have occured on property, yes, kidnapping, and we can't even get the lights to be turned on in the parking garage at night!! It is no wonder all of these things are happening on property - we are living at the Disneyland for thieves and perverts!! After COUNTLESS requests to management to simply have the security lights turned on at night, not only are we STILL in the dark, they were kind enough to add a paragraph to the notices stating all of the legal mumbo-jumbo on how they are not responsible for anythijng that happens to tenants while on the grounds! Oh, to give them a little credit, they are kind enough to remind us when we call to make requests regarding our security.

Now to top it all off, for a company that tried unsucessfully to evict me for wanting to live with my wife, they are now refusing to let me buy out of my lease so I can get the hell out of this pit!! I have gone as far as to pay nearly $1500 per month here to paying an additional $2100 per month starting July 1st on a new place so we can live in a safe, clean and quite place with running water and electricity.

The only plus side to the property is the tenats. Everyone that we have interacted with over the years has been friendly and accomodating, but it get old and tiresome when you run into them all everyone does is ----- about the living situation - it just gets old after a while!

I am not only a newly wed, but also am a business owner and don't normalyy have the time nor take the time to fill out questionaires such as these, but feel that it is important and would not wish this experiance on any unsuspecting tenants..... DON'T BE FOOLED!!

Do you think we should organize a meeting of tenants? This is getting ridiculous... there has to be something we can do to get better treatment (other than being forced to move out!).

We should all get together and form a group mtg. and collect our issues. I spoke to my lawyer and he said that he would be willing point us in the right direction and would be more than willing to have his firm represent us in the future if it comes to litigation. He is well aware of the issues with Ring Mangement and has had sucsessful dealings in court with them in the past. I think that we should put together a mtg in the new community room by the fitness center.

I agree. I have already moved out (forced out because they want to upgrade my apartment and charge much more), but would be willing to assist in any effort to take these jerks to task in the legal system. What they are doing to people is inexcusable.
