THE WORST PLACE IN THE MARINA TO LIVE

Do not, do not, do not, under any circumstances even think about living at this HELLHOLE. The construction has been going on for over a year. They enter your apartment at least once a week for no reason (I have three "notices to enter" on my counter right now), they tear out the landscaping and pools and leave dirt holes, they move your things and you never see them again, and then they serve you a notice to comply when they see a chair on your balcony that isn't to their liking. The management is HORRID, and they don't care about anything you say. You can complain all you like but, since they don't care, they ignore you. They will lie to your face, destroy your things, and then tell you if you don't like it to move out. I'm taking their advice. There are some nice places in the Marina, including some new openings. This dump is NOT one of those places. DON'T DO IT.

This is not true for us at all. We love this community, we have been here for almost 3 1/2 years now. I think that all of the negative comments posted are from mostly people who have lived here for 100 years and are afraid of change and increased rents. This area is one of the nicest in Los Angeles, and even the Westside. Where else can you got to almost any wonderful restaruant and wear flipflops, and jeans, but eat great food in a cool atmosphere? I will pay full price for this area and I do think Marina Harbor is worth it too. I agree that it has been a mess around here during the construction....but we have not had an increase in our rent for over 3 years and our friends who live down the street have had over $400 in rent raises over the same 3 years. I feel that is reasonable for living through this construction! And again, we are happy that it will be ending soon, but we expect to stay on for years to come. We love it here!

This same response is posted over and over. It's obviously management trying to trick readers. Don't buy it. The reviewer is right. This place is lousy.

We absolutely love it here and no, I am not a manager here! The apartments are HUGE and the water views- you just can't beat 'em! The staff is absent at times but the resort like living makes up for lack of courteous management. If you want to live in peace and quiet with lovely neighbors and hear the sea lions at night- this place is for you!
Also the front office personnel is friendly and helpful- big thanks to Erin, Luis, Carla and Jeannine!
