I have lived in Mariners Bay for 4 years and I cannot wait to get out of here.
The main problem here is the leasing office's personnel: They are rude, unhappy people who seem to hate their jobs and are NEVER willing to help. They do not do a good job when it comes to maintenance either. The elevator in building 7 was broken at least 6 or 7 times this year alone. Each time it broke, it took them a COUPLE OF WEEKS to have it fixed.
The laundry machines are so old they don't clean properly and, sometimes, they tear your clothes.
The hallways are filthy; with stained carpets and trash bags outside of people s doors (2 neighbors do this in my hallway alone).
The jacuzzi smells bad and the water is ALWAYS dirty.
Bicycles have been stolen from the storage in the garages and mail (yes, MAIL) get stolen on regular basis. Do not even think about dropping your Netflix movies in the box!!! Many people have had their identities stolen here too!
Of course it is useless to call the leasing office for help. You will only get more and more aggravated and they will treat you as if you were bothering them.
And do not think this place is cheap either; they are raising the rents in increments of $400 to $500. They just did it to me and I have friends in the complex facing the same situation.
The ONLY good things: the cool temperatures, the tennis courts and the swimming pool.
As you can see, this is certainly a place I would NOT recommend to anyone. Why am I still here then' The obvious answer: REAL ESTATE PRICES!! Luckily, it seems the insanity is over and prices will go back to "normal" soon.
To wrap it up: Just stay away from Mariners Bay!!!
