I have lived here for 2 years and have lived several places throughout a 50 mile LA area. I chose this place for its location and its tropical nautical theme with bamboo. Missing were the Tiki's. My car was broken into twice, paint supplies and tools were stolen. If you live on the bottom floor, there is a good chance your apt will flood from the dish washer above being used and by some freak event with the piping the kitchen sinks run over. This can be expected once a year maybe. I know a few people this has happened to. The noise of repairs happens often. If you work at home this will drive you nuts, check to see what the schedule is for it.

My neighbors are pretty cool. Obviously there are times when people fight, have sex, party etc, but this is apt life and goes with the territory.
The neighborhood is great, calm and overall people seem happy with life. I can walk on mothers beach at night without a problem.

The management is starting to get their act together. They have changed owners and during that time, several stupid illegal policies had been enforced which silently went away. When addressing the issue, especially if it is extremely unusual, go to the head person do not waste your time with an underling. Everyone's time is valuable and this apt complex maight not be hiring the sharpest tacks to handle your requests. Parking for a second car is sucky, especially if you have 2 cars.

My rent did increase a ton and I really question the worth of living here besides it's beauty. Why lose money when you can buy a house. Good luck on your decision, it's worth a look.
