Do you want to know what I felt living here'

Hi. First of all the location is great...you can't beat it for the price, which is the first and greatest selling point besides the amenities of the complex. BUT BEWARE!!!! please weigh your priorities before you move in; I can't stress this enough in writing. Do you really want to live by the beach' Do you have other options' Can you put up with all it's unforeseen short comings a large complex has to offer'
Here's my story. I moved in to a studio, very close to the water, on a 1 yr lease. I broke my lease just after 8 months because of a combination of poor insulation for sound (between walls and floors) and inconsiderate neighbors. I honestly wish I had done this a lot sooner. I was on the second floor unit and i felt like a prisoner between the self proclaimed and self righteous stomping green giant of the valley on top, and below, the screaming banshee of the dark night (more like 4 nights a week, 5th night she likes to be in shackles but she still screams). To my left was the stairway guarded by the 3 gates to hell (doors to each floor) through which souls passed announcing their inconsiderateness to sane ears. To my right, the broadcaster, echoing belligerent sensationalism across the halls and most importantly invading my space. So if you really want to live there make sure you get the 3rd floor and a corner away from the doors... which is impossible... so please save your self and find paradise elsewhere.
You wanted to know how I felt so there it is. Now for the summary: Bottom line please stay away if you can find other SOILD CEILING & WALLED options for housing by the beach. If you have your heart set on the place (as most individuals, when they see the place for the first time, are... including myself) try to contact the previous tenants of the rooms you want to move into and also try to talk to the neighbors around before you move... if all else fails earplugs might become a fashionable part of your new "living by the beach lifestyle".
I wish you all the best of luck no matter what you decide. I just want to warn those who prefer a quiet and sturdy place above all.
