Building fire still not fixed one year later!

The glowing reviews here may be from someone who's never lived here (owners'). This place is poorly maintained. Example, last year there was a fire in one of the buildings. The whole building had to be vacated. They treated the tenants who'd lost their homes and things horribly, putting them up in tiny budget motel rooms until they just gave up and moved. This was ONE YEAR AGO, and still they're working on the building... sawing, machine noises, dust every day for a year. They keep saying the work will be finished next month -- they've said this for six months.

Nope..it was Feb. 2006. It is still 2006..Your only excuse is if you are Marty McFly and have gone back to 1955 for the past 7 months.

I was displaced by the fire. Let me tell you, E&S ring went above and beyond assisting displaced tenants. I was put up at THE MARINA DEL REY Marriot..hardly a "tiny budget motel". E&S even picked up the tab..which they most definately did NOT have to do.

You weren't displaced by the fire, you are the management. My best neighbor friend was displaced and put in an inferior motel, not a four-star.

Let the tenants speak for themselves.

I pretty much lost everything in that fire and yes i was given the stay at the Marriot (where they said we'd stay for a week and then after day 4 they called and wanted us all out the next morning with no place to go). Maybe E&S should pay for the hallway fire alarms to actually work before they start shelling out the dough for comp food. I'd much rather be startled by an alarm going off (which NEVER happened) then finding out the fire is outside my apartment by people screaming.

I heard about the fire from your legs squeeking together and your Lower Lips flapping in the breeze. You saved my life!
