Nobody knows this, but the land where Mariner's Village is at is the best location in Marina del Rey with best view all around. It is also one the coldest Los Angeles beaches, even in the summertime. I struck my thermometer out, and the area reads two degrees cooler than in Venice beach, Santa Monica beach, Pacific Palisades beach, and Malibu beach oceanfront (not a joke). I puked at myself seeing how old, ugly, and obsolete the building is, and Marina del Rey should be ashamed of themselves for letting this old apartment still stand in Marina del Rey's best-kept location. The land costs a lot more than what the building is worth. It's no longer profitable. If a new high-rise apartment building is built, it will have 360 degree water view. That would be sweet. I hope the management company or the city hall is listening to this.

You are an idiot to want a high rise there.. they obstruct views, create more traffic... You are a moron.

I moved into Mariners Village from the high rise Archstone down the street because I couldn't stand living in a place that felt so cold, impersonal, and disconnected from the world. I love living at Mariners Village, and I wouldn't change a thing. The environment is natural and blends into the landscape of the Marina. Living in Mariners Village is like living in paradise. When I wake up, I can either walk through gardens to the gym or walk along the channel. It's very relaxing. This place feels like home.
