First off; Los Angeles is a dump, period. I have lived here for about a year and Im not impressed but I wasnt expecting much from the get go. If you want to live here, you cant expect it to be your perfect paradise, that's a known fact. In my opinion, I think this particular apartment is average.

Building: Looks great on the outside, on the inside however, it was built cheaply. You can hear your upstairs neighbor brushing their teeth. Ok so I exagerated a little on that one, but you can hear them doing practically everything, such as flushing the toilet, walking around (which sounds like stomping and rattles all the dishes in the cabinet)laughing, shutting their door, you name it you can probably hear it. I have learned to get over it, because they're not doing it on purpose, I'm sure my neighbor below thinks I'm an elepahnt too! Also, the tiles of the kitchen and bathrooms are cracked badly due to bad placement and uneven floors. You can literally see how the floor sort of sags. (I just covered it all wth a big rug, "good as new")

People: Most (not all) people that reside here are rude. I think a lot of people have aquired an LA attitude. It's definetly not a friendly little neighborhood where everyone looks out for one another. Its funny, because when I'm walking down the hall and someone is passing I still smile and say "hi, how are you'" Even though I know they'll all usually keep looking at the ground or give me this look like I must be crazy. But thats ok, I knew it wasn't going to be friendly the day I moved in. Just look in the garage and you'll see what I mean. I have never seen so many "luxury" vehicles at a time in my life! Sometimes I feel like scremaing out, "You live in an apartment!" It's all about apperance, brand names and money here, thankfully I have never gotten caught up with that mess. In a nut shell, the people here are just like the building, nice looking on the outside, but falling apart on the inside.

I haven't had to much to complain about here, never really had to deal with management. What I dont like is the noise, it's definetly the worst flaw. My advice for someone who is moving here, DO NOT MOVE INTO A COURTYARD. I've heard just about everything; crying babies, couples fighting, dogs barking, parties, and someone screaming on a megaphone, "get up everyone" (I have to admit though that was pretty funny, oh to be young and dumb again...) Oh and I cant wait for American Idol to be over, I hear that show blasting from just about everyones place. But I know that it is an apartment and I'm not the only one who lives here.

All in all I would recommend this place, but dont get comfortable. I looked around at many places in the area and this was the cleanest, had the most friendliest staff, and was the cheapest (you aren't going to find anything cheaper thats as nice as this place) Just remember that it is an apartment and hopefully its temporary.

Wait wait wait!! You forgot one very important thing... The horrible stench that lurks throughout the hallways on every floor... Im the person you see running down the hall as fast as i can with my shirt covering my face because the smell makes me gag and want to pass out!...so gross.. Dont know what it is... people cooking? doo doo? I DONT KNOW!! Most of the time it is unbearable! So let me apoligize to my neighbors if you can hear me running past your home because the walls are so thin... I cant help it... Im in the process of purchasing a gas mask...
