They have their staff create user names and pretend to be "satisfied residents".




First of all, WHY would someone go out of their way to post something positive unless they are being rewarded to do so.




Also, it is common knowledge that people go on websites like this to specifically complain about bad experiences, they won't take time out of their way to defend the apartment UNLESS they are the management and are desperate for good ratings.




It's sad to think people are so dishonest.




Also- sidenote for those looking to move here- there is constantly trash in the elevator lobby area...the same trash has been there over a week.




I was walking to my friend's apt in the main building and there was dog crap in the stairway. This isn't the only instance of this.




The mailboxes are constantly left open,a free-for-all if you have anything valuable being sent to you.




The cameras in the apartment buildings don't actually work AND cars have been stolen from the "gated security parking".




The door to building two has been broken for 6 months and you can get in without a key, just Pull.




Overall...This place has some MAJOR PROBLEMS!They have their staff create user names and pretend to be "satisfied residents".

I recently moved out of Marina Terrace. Overall good experience, great location and some good amenities. The piping in this building is pretty rickety though... we had a lot of problems with our garbage disposals and smells from toilets and showers (even with vigourous scrubbing and strong cleaning products) ...All piping is PVC piping so draino cannot be used. Smells a little like mold... but not enough to not live here... Walking distance to a cute shopping/dining center and the beach. Pretty well kept grounds with nice maintenance people. Management are nice but are very young and seem to ignore most complaints. I have never heard of anyone breaking into cars or the building (i lived in building 1 though) The rent used to be reasonable...but like everything else in the marina the prices were recently shot through the roof. (very small apartments for the $) Washer and Dryer are a definate plus but are not in every apartment... Fire alarms go off for no reason in the middle of the night frequently...and it seems like the maintenance is posting 24 hour notices that they will be entering your apartment at least once a week (this is since Alliance management has taken over) Compared to other options in the marina its GREAT! the building is much newer and i never had any problems with pests. =)
