When looking for apartments in the LA area, it was relieving to have the experience of working with someone as kind and helpful as Saira Bhamani. Saira was very professional and although I'm sure she had many other people to help, she never made us feel rushed and gave us her full attention. Whether we asked her to go over details of the contract or take us to the show unit so we could get measurements for furniture, she was always smiling and eager to make the process as stress free as possible. We had some problems upon initial move-in as the unit we were supposed to be moving into had not yet been vacated by the previous tenants. Although we were unsure what to do at first, and contemplated looking for other options, Saira worked with us tirelessly to find another unit and stayed late to help us fill out new paperwork to ensure we could get moved in. She definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. The attention she gave us was amazing and really made us feel welcome. Even now, she still says hi every time we walk in. Saira doesn't just treat new tenants like 'customers'. She takes the time to get to know the individual and is knowledgeable, professional, and ultimately one of the reasons we decided to live at Marina Terrace. She was a pleasure to work with and her positive attitude and constant smile really reflects the Marina Terrace community as a whole.

The review above is probably from on of the leasing agents at Marina Terrace. Why? Because I live there and still have problems having them call me back.
There is a major issue with the smell of garbage from the shoots in the building. People leave their garbage all around. Cars get broken into and stolen frequently. Don't consider having a bike in the "secure" parking garage because it will get stolen! The place is filled with scary crack heads that get taken away in ambulances and ghetto thugs make it look like a rap video!!!!
Perhaps this particular leasing agent was good but as a whole this place is awful! And once they real you into signing the lease, they could care less about your opinion.
Save yourself a lot of heart ache and money. There are plenty of better places that are nicer in the area!

Yes, Saira is nice & helpful...I thought the same thing when I met her. But that doesn't make for a good living experience. In your own words...the apartment you were supposed to move into was still occupied by the current tenants on your moving day, well that's more indicative of the way the building is run. You have more of that to look forward to. In no time at all, someone will be parked in your permanent parking spot because the office will give that spot away to a new tenant. For some reason, they think it's brain surgery to keep track of who's in what spot. You may have already discovered that the only choice you have for cable television gives you about 20 channels for basic cable, compared to about 90 from Time/Warner. But you dont' have that choice. You'll also find no one cares about dirty common areas or broken elevators. But they sure do a good job schmoozing you to sign a lease and get you into the building. Is it worth someone being friendly? You'll find out soon enough.
