I have lived in this complex for almost 18 months now and am SO ready to move! I have the same complaints as other reviewers... noisy, no guest parking, unresponsive management, poorly maintained appliances etc. My apartment was flooded by a broken toilet hose connector back when I first moved in, and although the management took care of the actual damages to the apartment, a member of the cleaning crew stole my digital camera and vcr/dvd combo. I also had to fight to be compensated for the 5 days I was forced to leave my unit while it was being repaired. The manager has threatened to charge me for normal maintenance on my unit more than once (I suppose because she feels like it''). This is not a good choice for people with children, like me, because there is no safe area for them to play outside. I would not recommend this complex to anyone, quite frankly!

Put California Revised Statutes into your search engine. This is California law. Then go to the table of contents, and look up landlord renter's rights. If you are forced to leave your apartment, a small claims court judge will either deduct it from your rent, or make them pay you back. These June and Rita attend corporate meetings in San Juan Capistrano. They know tenant's rights, they just hope you don't. They will not automatically do the right thing, they will always wait until they are pushed to do the right thing by a lawyer. Why do you think they act so smug? They have already sized you up as being dumb.
