Anyone who says this place is great clearly works for the company!

My husband and I moved into this place with the intention to save some money and let me say this was the BIGGEST mistake we made!We signed a 6 month contract but moved out after 3 1/2 months because it was such a nightmare and we felt our safety was threatened. The management and corporate dont care about the tenants they just care that they get their fat rent check each month. You would think that with all the money corporate is rolling in that they would use some of the money to fix this place up but no they are FULL of greed. In the span we lived there we were harrassed by our neighbor twice! There was 2 stabbings 2 weekends in a row, which when the police came said that this apartment complex is the most unsafe community in all of Mission Viejo, but does management do anything about that, NO, they only care about money! They make up their own rules as they go as to try and cover their butts from lawsuits,which from talking to many tenants, they are sued constantly for breaking California renters laws.The aparments are completely disgusting! Their so called maintenance dept. are a bunch of lazy guys who barely lift a finger. If you need anything fixed you better be ready to wait a loooong time for it and nag the manager, who conveniently is always "out", obviously because she cant do her job properly. There are rodents and termites in all the apartments but the management swears that they have "taken care of it".The water was shut off twice when we lived there, which is illegal to do so without a notice of some sort, but the management tried to deny that. Oh and one more thing, when you move out be prepared to deal with an even bigger nightmare than when you lived there. They will try and make up reasons to steal money out of your deposit, and not send it to you within the 21 days they have to with in California law. the manager I mentioned above will completely ignore your attempts to communicate with them and make up lies but when she is caught she will push you over to their corporate manager of the apartments,who completely ignores you unless you are lucky enough to get a call back from him.He is notoriously known to be disrespectful to all tenants, he even hung up on my husband. They act like this because they KNOW they are breaking the law!!!
Overall, I STRONGLY advise anyone who reads this to NOT move in here, dont do what I did, I read the reviews on the site and still went to look at the apartment anyway. I was sucked in by the managements FAKE niceness and rental promotion just to get me in the door and I am dealing with a nightmare now!
This management and corporate company deserves to get shut down for being slum lords!!! If anything, by my writing this i would be satisfied in knowing that I turned one person away from this joke of a place.

Now they are making all of the tenants remove everything off their patios which in when you sign the contract says you may do whatever you like to your patio, now they are breaking their own contracts against every tenant living in the Saddleback Ranch Apts. They gave a one day notice to remove everything, including plants to make your home a unique living place. Instead they prefer everything to look like cookie cutter worn down P.O.S. apartments, which is a horrible living environment for any children. As a member of the United States Marine Corps, I am used to a clean living environment. Not a trashy unkept worn down apartment building you'd think was to be some kind run down closed building waiting to be torn down.
