I moved in in January 2008 and have had nothing but problems with my apartment from day one. I have notified management of my issues and have received minimal responses. For one, I pay for a dishwasher that is broken and does not have hot water. I've informed the office numerous times and I still have no hot water. No hot water equals dirty dishes! Secondly, I had a slab leak that took over 3 weeks to access, fix and repair. During this 3 weeks my entire apartment was torn up, no kitchen floor, no carpet in the bedroom and all my household furniture in a pile in the living room. Three weeks to fix a leaking pipe under the floor' Thirdly, I've have 2 major rat infestations in a 6 month period of time. The maintenance staff claimed to have fixed the rat problem back in February but here I am in July smelling and seeing rat droppings in my kitchen. The management was informed of the rats from day one. I still continue to have rats on the outside perimeter of my apartment to this day. So obviously the rat infestation is not taken care of. There are numerous other issues I've had with this apartment. I've had the maintenance staff here to fix a broken garbage disposal, broken burners on the stove, broken front door lock, broken shower nozzle, broken back slider door and a broken door plate at the front door - which I've had numerous frogs enter my house through the gap between the front door and the door plate. Once again, the management has been informed of all issues. When the maintenance staff shows up, they seem lost as to how to fix the problem. I feel that I'm paying for an apartment that was not ready for a move-in. The management and the maintenance did not check anything out in my apartment before they rented it. All they did was paint and put in new carpet. Everything else, I've had to call, complain and wait for. I'm paying a lot of money for an apartment that hasn't been up to par from the day I moved in.

Like the other tenant, I've had 2 major rat infestations within the past in a 2 ?? months. The maintenance staff has no idea what they are doing. I took off from work on several occasions to prod the management and maintenance crew to get things done. In addition to meeting with the contracted exterminator???both were a waste of my time. In addition to my continuous rat infestation, my apartment is infested with crickets. It is quite embarrassing when I have to explain to guests that what they are seeing crawling across my living room floor is not roaches but crickets. At night they are chirping so loud, I would swear I was along the Bayou. So far I have not experienced any rats coming into my apartment but the noise of them nesting in my walls is unbearable. I, also, continue to have rats on the outside perimeter of my apartment and in the walls of my son???s bedroom. So obviously the rat infestation is not taken care of. I have contacted several agencies including the Public Health Services Environmental Health Department which is still pending investigation.
