The apartment complex is very nice compared to most. It's spread out so you don't feel like you're living in a midrise or army barracks. The place was well built --- virtually no foundation/structural problems. Amenities are nice.

The problem here is management. The manager has something up his you know what. They don't fix many problems. Been living here over 5 years and my carpet was worn when I moved in. Now it almost has holes in it. They won't replace it. They will fix an air conditioner problem, but many other problems they don't mess with. You turn in a request and never hear back from them. You have to ----- everyday to get something done.

They recently downgraded the workout room by replacing the nice Universal machine with weird machines you won't find in any gym. They used to have the cardio equipment facing the TV, now they have it facing the wall. Obviously the manager doesn't work-out.

The car Vacuum cleaner has been broken for 5 years (or working so poorly that nobody uses it). For the first time in 5 years, the car wash faucets aren't leaking causing a swamp.

Noise level isn't always good. There's lots of noise coming from the lake area --- organized walks (sound system blairing all day), military-style workout group at 5:00 a.m. yelling, at night you can sometimes hear rap & latino music blairing. The White Rock Lake maintenance area is adjacent --- running smoggy diesel engines all day. And of course most neighbors figure you don't mind listening to their stereo's all night.

Overall, I would recommend the place (as far as apartments go). Remember that you have to pay for water (based on hot water usage) --- take cold showers. The mom & pop cable company is behind times (no cable Internet). Many people have DSL, although it is somewhat of an installation problem because the alarm system is built into the phone. Good luck!
