I am a 22-yo college student and have been here since July '07. I have few complaints.

Pros: It's a pretty good deal compared to the overpriced place I was at near UC Irvine last year. The atmosphere is quiet, mellow, and diverse in all demographics. I like that the management and residents tend to let young people have some fun without it getting too noisy (e.g. patio BBQ parties, pool parties, etc.) Parking isn't bad at all and I love: the high ceilings, ceiling fan, HUGE bathtubs, spacious patio, gas stove, in-unit washer/dryer, spacious and efficient layout, and the awesome pools and multiple jacuzzis. It is VERY safe here (it is the #1 safest U.S. city, after all). It's right across the street from all the necessities: Ralphs, Longs, Blockbuster, restaurants, fast food, ice cream, Starbucks, pretty much everything you need is walking distance. Private M.V. Lake memberships are available which is great for the summer.

Cons: I hate how far away from the freeway it is. It will take you AT LEAST 10min to get to the 5 w/out traffic, no matter what. Like most properties, the management is typical: under-qualified, under-trained in proper customer service etiquette, and overworked. The staff seem ok, but they aren't very good at hiding that they hate their jobs (can't really blame them). Make sure you don't move into an apartment that has a family with young children upstairs because kids run around and stomp overhead, which in my opinion is the most aggravating noise ever!
